Chickpea and Curry Patties!


BBQ and Burger season is here! Liven up your burgers with a chickpea and curry patty,this recipe is great for any vegetarian or anyone looking to reduce their meat intake this summer season!

This recipe makes 6 patties!

Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas rinsed and drained
1/3 cup of gluten free oats
2 carrots shredded
1/4 cup of onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Place oats,carrots,onions and garlic in a food processor or a blender,once the carrots are shredded add the chickpeas in the blender and pulse the blender to keep chunky texture.
Add spices and barbecue sauce to blender and pulse to mix ingredients.
Using your hands divide mix into six even pieces and roll into balls and flatten them into a patties size on a greased baking sheet.
Bake patties at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 20 mins on each side
Dress it up with the fixings and a bun!
